Angie Long is a self-taught artist who was born in the Midlands and is now living in Cornwall. She has over 30 years of experience, known for her intricate and soulful work in pyrography, as well as acrylics, watercolors, and charcoal. Her art is a celebration of the natural world, deeply influenced by the animals, landscapes, and coastal life of her home in Mullion Cove, on Cornwall’s rugged Lizard Peninsula.

From an early age, Angie has been drawn to birds, capturing their delicate details and personalities with care and precision. Wildlife also features prominently in her work, often portrayed with warmth and character. More recently, inspired by the multi-instrumentalist Ren, Angie was encouraged to branch out into new forms of art. This has allowed her work to expand to her latest collection in which she reflect the landscapes around her, particularly the dramatic sunsets that sweep across the Cornish coastline.
For the last several years Angie has owned and curated “The Rising Tide Gallery” in Mullion Cove, where she shares her evolving collection of work and welcomes others into the creative rhythm of the coast. Whether working with fire, brush, or charcoal, her art offers a quiet, powerful reflection of nature’s beauty, and our deep connection to it.
